* Last update 26 April 2021* More information about HAS University of Applied Sciences and the coronavirus can be found on this page.

From 26 April, we will finally be able to, as a university of applied sciences, return to our situation prior to the lockdown that we have been in since mid-December.

Back to school

On 20 April, it became clear that higher education would be able to open its doors again as of 26 April, with some restrictions. We will be returning to the situation as it was prior to the lockdown that began in mid-December. This means that students will be able to, on average, come to school each week for one full or half day in order to participate in lessons in person. It is an addition to the current exceptions regarding practical courses, examinations and meetings for vulnerable student groups.

HAS University of Applied Sciences and corona measures

The health of students, staff and visitors is very important for HAS University of Applied Sciences, that is why we are closely monitoring developments related to coronavirus. We are following the guidelines and instructions from the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and Environmental Protection (RIVM), the GGD Municipal Health Service, the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs relating to the coronavirus. Of course, HAS University is prepared for various scenarios so that we can take appropriate action if we receive guidelines and instructions to do so.

With the protocol 'Working and studying responsibly at HAS University of Applied Sciences' we create space for a safe togetherness at the HAS. Students, staff, and visitors are urged to adhere to the measures and instructions in this protocol (shared upon visit). It is also mandatory to wear a mouth mask within the HAS buildings.

We are sending regular updates to students and employees via our internal communication channels and a special page on our intranet. This page is constantly updated as new facts become known.
